I don't know if it's glass or crystal, but it seemed thick enough to be dishwasher safe, which is a plus for me.
They look very simple and nice. My only problem is in the design on one of the glasses. It had a few nicks or scratches on the design, which was enough to be annoying because you can see them up close, but not bad enough to make me go through the whole process of returning them.
They are great for something nice looking and low cost. But I wouldn't say they were above and beyond elegant looking.
